“We’ve noticed improvement in yield quality and soil resilience. The benefit of digital technology helps us better understand our soils and the fields that we farm.”

“Brexit meant massive changes to agriculture. We decided to get our borrowing and costs down, and saw direct drilling as a way to do it. We jumped straight in and haven’t regretted it.”

How AgreenaCarbon works

Three simple steps to carbon farming

Whether you’re new to regenerative agriculture or already have some practices in place, it’s easy to get started with AgreenaCarbon and begin earning credits.

1

Tell us about your fields

We need information like field location and size, which can usually be exported from your farm management system as a .shp file. We’ll then ask about the farming practices you’ve been using over the last five years.

2

Report your field actuals

After your next harvest you’ll tell us which sustainable practices you used on the fields you enrolled. We’ll use this to determine the number of carbon credits we issue.

3

Get your yearly reward

We’ll issue your credits once we’ve verified the practices you’ve used and it’s confirmed by our third party validator. You can then sell them to buyers (with your crops, directly or with our help) or keep them.

Carbon farming with AgreenaCarbon pays

Earn high quality carbon credits that you can keep, sell, or have us sell for you

  • Transition to regenerative farming practices to earn carbon credits

  • Carbon credits give you an additional stream of income

  • Carbon credits help cover the initial costs of the transition, such as new equipment and any temporary dip in yield

  • The more hectares you enrol and the more sustainable practices you adopt, the more credits you can earn

How you earn credits

Reap the long-term rewards of regenerative farming

  • Potentially save money on fertiliser, fuel, labour and equipment

  • Grow crops that may sell for a higher price because they’re sustainably farmed

  • Boost soil’s resilience to erosion, droughts and floods – and its ability to store carbon, combating climate change

  • Improve your fields’ biodiversity, including beneficial bacteria, fungi and insects that thrive in healthy soil

The more you transition, the more you profit

How you earn carbon credits

Carbon credits are calculated based on how much carbon you’ve captured by adopting regenerative practices in place of conventional ones. The more fields you enrol and the more practices you adopt, the more carbon you capture – and the more you earn.
