AgreenaGro helps you get paid for farming in a way that’s good for the planet and gives you tools to make better business decisions and boost profitability while you’re at it.
There’s increasing interest from governments, food brands and the public in farming's impact on the environment. But most of the time, farmers are the ones being asked to jump through hoops without getting much in return.
Agreena thinks farmers should be rewarded for their environmental impact, but getting that reward shouldn't add work to your already busy days.
AgreenaGro is how we’re making that possible.
What is AgreenaGro?
If you’ve heard of Agreena before, it’s probably through our soil carbon programme, AgreenaCarbon, where farmers are paid for generating soil carbon credits, which companies can buy to compensate for remaining hard-to-abate Scope 3 emissions. That’s still one of the ways farmers can earn through AgreenaGro. But it’s not the only one.
AgreenaGro opens up more ways to get paid: including things like insetting, where food and drink companies pay for lower emissions from the produce they use in their products.
That means more flexibility to farm in a way that makes sense for your business and the best possible payout - whether you’ve been farming regeneratively for years or are just getting started.
It’s fully digital, open to farms of all sizes, and designed to put farmers in control.
We know that farming in a way that improves soil health, biodiversity and resilience also makes sound business sense, and we’re building the tools to help you find the best way to do that on your farm.
Signing up to AgreenaGro only takes a few minutes. Watch the demo below to see for yourself.

What happens when you sign up?
You can create a farm, map your fields, and access all of the tools straight away. You’ll agree to some basic terms to get started - this is the usual stuff you’d see when creating an account anywhere on the internet.
If you want to be eligible to earn money, there’s a second step: you opt in to additional terms to say you’re happy for Agreena to monetise your data on your behalf and provide some extra information about your farm practices, like your fertiliser use.
We use that information to calculate your potential earnings and then we go out and find the best deal for you across the different routes to market.
Once you sign up you’re not locked in. You can opt out at any point before your data is used in a deal.
Farmers can earn up to £50/ha, depending on your practices and your region. If you’re curious what kind of payment might be possible, you can use our earnings calculator to get an estimate.

You’re in control of your data
We’re serious about earning farmers’ trust, and we know the only way to do that is by being open and respectful with the data we ask for.
We use your data (such as cropping history and farm practices) to match you with potential earnings opportunities. Buyers don’t see your data. They only see aggregated insights, such as how much carbon reduction is available across farms in a region.
Until we make a sale, you can always opt out.
To show how seriously we take this, Agreena has signed up to the UK Farm Data Principles, which lay out how responsible farm data use should work. That means:
Your data is your data
We’re clear about its value
We keep it safe
We make it easy to use
You have the right to opt out
Set-up takes minutes
I’ve been testing AgreenaGro on our farm at home in Kent. Full disclosure: as part of the product team that's been building it, I had high expectations going in - but I've still been impressed.
As you'll have seen in the demo video above, all I had to do was enter my SBI number, and my field boundaries were populated, ready to go. Then I was taken to our farm map which already had our crops, cover cropping and tillage filled in for me - and I hardly had to make any changes! I know how good our data team is, and had seen their accuracy estimations, but this was still a pleasant surprise.
AgreenaGro uses satellite image recognition and machine learning to identify field boundaries, what crops you’ve grown, your tillage, and whether cover crops were used. It’s not perfect (yet!) but it’s fast, and it gets better all the time.
You can select the field boundaries our models have detected with a few clicks or can import your field data from government systems.

We give you tools to help your business, even before you earn
Even if you don’t want to opt in to share your data right away, you still get access to a powerful set of tools designed to help you make better decisions for your farm:
fieldmargin Plus: Access our complete farm management tool, which works on your phone so you can stay up-to-date anywhere, free with AgreenaGro. From mapping and task planning to spray records, livestock moves, and reporting for compliance.
Profitability calculator: Compare your crop cost of production and gross margins to national benchmarks, plus explore different scenarios to improve returns.
Regen ag score: See how your environmental performance stacks up based on core regenerative practices and where your biggest improvement opportunities lie.
Bare soil and rotation indexes: Identify variation across your farm, visualised on a map to catch any blind spots where your management could shift to help your farm performance.

See how these tools work in practice
We’re building these tools to work for real farms. We’ve been on a regen journey at home since 2006: reducing tillage, trialling different cover crop mixes, shifting to spring cropping and figuring out how best to integrate our sheep into that system. Some things have worked well, while others… Not so much. Getting the grazing right over winter, managing failed cover crop mixes, finding the best drill for our land - we’ve had our share of trial and error.
All that goes to say that I understand how hard it is to balance what’s best for your soils and long-term sustainability with the need to keep the farm financially viable. AgreenaGro doesn’t pretend to have all the answers. But it does give you more ways to assess what’s working, earn from the changes you’re making, and make confident decisions.
What’s coming next, and why you should sign up now…
The feature I’m most excited about is still to come.
We’re working on an AI-powered chat tool that will help you get answers to your most pressing farm questions, using your own farm’s data and backed by a deep base of agronomic knowledge. No more trawling Google or waiting for someone to get back to you - just clear, tailored insights at your fingertips when you need them.
This is still in the works, but if you sign up now, you’ll be first in line to try it when it goes live.
AgreenaGro helps you make more from farming in a way that’s good for your land, your business, and the planet. Whether you’re ready to start earning now or just want to explore the tools and see what’s possible, it’s easy to get started.
And - if you've got suggestions for how we can improve, we want to hear them. AgreenaGro’s being built with farmers, not just for them. Your input helps us make it better.

Camilla led product for eight years at fieldmargin, building it from early beta to a platform used by more than 15,000 farmers around the world. She worked across the full product lifecycle, from shaping strategy and running user research to managing delivery, marketing, and comms.
Since joining Agreena, Camilla has been working on a new suite of farmer-facing tools designed to support regenerative transition — with insight, community, and practical support for change. Alongside this, she helps manage her family’s mixed farm in Kent and completed a Nuffield Scholarship on unlocking the potential of hemp as a commercial crop.
