Agreena launches Agatha, an AI-powered assistant helping farmers make confident, data-driven decisions
Part of the AgreenaGro suite, Agatha is a generative AI assistant offering independent, always-available support for farmers’ daily decisions
Copenhagen, Denmark; 30 October 2025: Agreena today announced the launch of Agatha, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help farmers make confident, data-backed decisions. Developed as part of the AgreenaGro platform, Agatha represents a major step in Agreena’s strategy to bring intelligent, connected tools to the heart of farming.
Currently available in beta, Agatha offers farmers an innovative new way of managing their farms. By combining farm location, AI insights, and remote sensing from satellite imagery, Agatha provides unbiased guidance to support decision-making, from crop planning and pest identification to exploring regenerative practices.
“Farmers know their land better than anyone; our goal with Agatha is to back up that expertise with a new layer of insight,” said Nischal Harohalli Padmanabha, Director of Data Science and Data Engineering, Agreena. “We’ve trained Agatha’s AI to act as a digital partner. It analyses satellite data in the context of your own on-the-ground knowledge to provide a trustworthy second opinion, helping you tackle tough management decisions with more confidence. It’s about ensuring the choice you make for your fields is the right one. We’re asking farmers to download the free app, give it a try, and tell us what they think. Their feedback is essential to making these digital tools genuinely useful.”
Designed as an always-available digital companion, Agatha translates complex data into clear, practical insights specific to each farm’s conditions and operations. Farmers can use Agatha as a sounding board for new ideas, troubleshooting, or exploring sustainable practices, all while maintaining control of their data under GDPR-aligned principles.
“In recent weeks I’ve used Agatha during winter wheat planting to give me more confidence in my decision making around seed rates. It was encouraging to get a second opinion on critical decisions,” said Thomas Gent, farmer and Regenerative Farming Lead at Agreena. “This isn’t about displacing agronomists. It’s about adding confidence and insights to the decisions we make every day.”
With its introduction, Agatha brings greater intelligence to the field - helping farmers make informed, confident decisions that strengthen their productivity and resilience. Those improved outcomes ripple through the entire system, delivering the credible, measurable impact companies depend on.
Agatha’s beta rollout begins in the UK and Denmark, with further expansion planned for France, Germany, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. Farmers interested in joining the testing programme can download AgreenaGro via the App Store or Google Play and start exploring the future of data-driven, digital farming today.
