A message from our CEO: 2025 was a defining year for Agreena

2025 was a defining year for Agreena – and for the agricultural carbon market – as we proved that verified climate outcomes can be delivered at scale.
We’ve had some big wins but, as third-party, independent markers of our integrity and impact, Verra verification, SustainCERT validation, and an MSCI ‘A’ rating stand out the most for me. We’ve proven that when you combine farmer-first economics with rigorous verification and cutting-edge technology, you create a virtuous cycle. As our farmer community grows, so does the quality and continuity of data that underpins both verified carbon credits and Scope 3 reporting.
This amazing asset engine is powered by our market-leading digital measurement, reporting and verification technologies. Across all sectors, AI adoption increased exponentially in 2025. And we did the same. At Agreena, we’d already been leveraging it in our machine learning models for years, but this year our exceptional data team went even further, developing a new ML platform able to process remote sensing agricultural data at unmatched scale. Processing times grew from 30,000 fields per day to 24 million hectares per hour - that’s a 10,000x increase in inference scalability.
While our engine is complex, ultimately we’re a simple business - we support farmers in the challenging but vital work of transitioning to regenerative agriculture by verifying the carbon they remove and connecting them with corporates to finance it. As category leaders, developers of the largest Verra-verified regenerative agriculture project in the world, we’ve created the blueprint for others to follow - and our progress is laying the groundwork for more resilient food systems and giving corporates the credible climate impact their stakeholders demand.

At our recent company day, I spoke about Agreena as a muscle, a machine that pulls together. Internally, none of us can pull a single thing off without the help of everyone else, directly or indirectly. But the same is true externally. Yes, we are leading the way in the regenerative agriculture category - but we cannot do it alone.
This year, we have more than doubled our corporate client base, with industry leaders including Radisson, Ryanair and Louis Dreyfus Company joining our network. It is through these partnerships that we have been able to scale regenerative agriculture across Europe. Like the natural ecosystem we support under our feet, above ground we are creating an ecosystem of our own - one of impact, and of resilience. To the farmers: thank you for your trust and courage. To our partners: Thank you for uniting with us to deliver credible impact. To the Agreenians: thank you for breaking boundaries to achieve the impossible, together. We’re going into 2026 with a thriving ecosystem.
Stability is not necessarily in the DNA of a pioneering start-up - but 2025 gave us forward momentum. From internal milestones to ones that have defined the category we’re shaping, it’s overwhelming to look back at everything our team has achieved this year. That same reflection makes me super excited for what we’re going to do next. Stay tuned.
